We are delighted to be one of ten Irish schools involved in this exciting and very worthwhile project. The project is focused on the 17 Global Goals and will involve schools from 12 countries over 3 years and is EU-funded.
In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 goals for a better world by 2030. These goals have the power to end poverty, fight inequality and stop climate change.
Participation in the Get up and Goals project will involve professional development for teachers focused on the Global Goals and junior cycle curriculum specifications, piloting of junior cycle curriculum-linked resources about the Global Goals and fully-funded student-led awareness raising actions about the Global Goals.
It is an excellent and exciting opportunity for our students and teachers.
