Phenomenon-Based Learning (PBL) or Problem-Based Learning:
On Wednesday the 26th of September students will took part in our first PBL day. Phenomenon-Based Learning (PBL) or Problem-Based Learning involves students working in small teams on real-life problems with a focus on technology, creativity and communication.
PBL allows students to own the learning process; observing, posing questions, researching and forging connections across subject areas within specified parameters. Staff have received training and continue to work with Bridge21 in TCD on the design and implementation of our PBL scheme.
PBL encourages the pursuit of knowledge whilst emphasizing other important skills, such as communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, sustainability, and international understanding.
