School Closure Update March 13th 2020
Dear Parent/Guardian,
As you will be aware an announcement was made yesterday by An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar of the closure of schools until March 29th to support efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19.
Sandymount Park ETSS will therefore be closed to students during this period.
We are very fortunate that our well-developed use of technology will allow teaching and learning to continue. All students are expected to follow their school timetable and engage with the content provided by teachers via Teams and OneNote. Student engagement will be monitored via their interactions and work submitted to teachers.
This period of closure may be unsettling for students; developing a routine that includes school related work, breaks, reading and exercise will help. Restricting access to smart phones during school hours, as per usual, may also be beneficial.
We hope that your child’s continued engagement with their teachers and their assigned learning will minimise the disruption caused by this closure and look forward to welcoming students back to school on March 30th.
The school office is closed but emails will be monitored. Any queries please mail us at office@sandymountparkettss.ie.
Best wishes to you all,
Paula Mulhall | Principal
