Brian O’Malley joined Sandymount Park Educate Together Secondary School as Deputy Principal in January 2019. Brian is a Maynooth University graduate and joined us from Hartstown Community School where he taught Maths, Economics and IT and was involved in numerous extra and co-curricular activities such as GAA, Basketball and Maths Club. Brian has a keen interest in Junior Cycle and school development and has worked with the PDST as a member of the Maths Development Team.

Brian is passionate about professional development having completed a Masters’ Degree in Education specialising in Teacher Education while also graduating from Maynooth with a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership. Brian is heavily involved in Killester Basketball Club, currently coaching their Super League Men’s team. Brian has experience coaching at international level being involved previously at youth and at College level.
