    Code of Behaviour

    In Sandymount Park ETSS we seek to build positive relationships across the school community to provide a safe and happy learning environment where all students can thrive. We expect students to make a positive impact on the school and local community and we consider positive behaviour to be essential to a student’s growth and development as a young person.

    ICT_Acceptable Use Policy

    This Acceptable Use Policy outlines the guidelines and behaviours that our students are expected to ffollow when using school technologies or when using personally owned devices inside Sandymount Park ETSS campus or at Sandymount Park ETSS organised events.

    Anti-Bullying Policy

    In accordance with the requirements of the Education (Welfare) Act 2000 and the Code of Behaviour guidelines issued by the NEWB, the Board of Management of Sandymount Park Educate Together Secondary School has adopted the following Anti-Bullying Policy within the framework of the school’s overall Code of Behaviour.

    Dress Code

    The Dress Code Policy helps the school community to promote the school’s unique ethos, relationships, policies, procedures and practices that encourage good behaviour and optimise learning.

    School Trips Policy

    This policy refers to trips organised during the school day and to any activity which requires the absence of students from timetabled classes. Overnight trips either at home or abroad.

    Schools Books Grant Scheme

    The Schools Books Grant Scheme is available to post primary schools to help with the cost of schoolbooks/e-books. Funding for this scheme comes from the Department of Education and Skills (DES), and the scheme is administered by the school authorities.

    Suspension and Expulsion Policy

    This policy relates to sanctions that the school management may adopt when dealing with serious breaches of the Code of Behaviour.

    The purpose of this policy is to regulate the use of Closed-Circuit Television and its associated technology in the monitoring of both the internal and external environs of the premises under the remit of Sandymount Park ETSS.
