Term begins – 1st year students 24th August
We are looking forward to welcoming first year students tomorrow, Thursday 24th of August at 8:30am, finishing at 10:45am. Students only need to bring a pencil case, notebook and their iPad on the first day, also water. The stationery list can be found here, ebooks will be pushed out remotely to the iPad so you do not need to worry about books or ebooks.
As outlined in the calendar, the schedule for first years is:
- Thursday 24th August 8:30am-10:45am
- Friday 25th August 8:30am-10:45am
- Monday 28th August No School for First Years
- Tuesday 29th August No School for First Years
- Wednesday 30th August Timetable commences, all students present 8:30am-3:30pm – the canteen will open on August 30th.
An induction program is planned and students will have an opportunity to get to know each other, staff, the building, their iPad and school routines. They will be well looked after and there is no need for students or parents to be anxious about starting secondary school. We will keep a close watch and do our best to ensure everyone settles in well.
A trip to Zipit in Tibradden has been planned for 11th/13th September, more details will follow.
Parents/Guardians are invited to stay for tea/coffee and a chat between 8:30am and 9:30am on Thursday morning. Please note there is no parking onsite.
